Campus Coach
Product design & VIsual design
Empowering runners to reach their full potential. In partnership with Campus, we completely reimagined the app experience to elevate training routine.
The new Campus Coach app is designed to truly adapt to each runner simplifying training while making every step forward more visible, motivating, and personal.
From home to profile, statistics to resources, session tracking to coaching, every moment has been carefully crafted to guide runners throughout their journey.
Design: Mobile App
Optimism branding as the new standard
The brand identity work (colors, art direction for photos & videos, 3D assets) led internally by Sebastien Plisson is built around energy and vibrancy, driven by a bold use of yellow and violet.
We then crafted every details of the app look & feel.
Yellow takes the lead expressing optimism, encouragement, and a sense of care. It moves away from a purely performance-driven tone, favouring guidance over pressure.
Motion also plays a key role in the experience, from splash screens to loading states, reinforcing a sense of flow and liveliness.

Campus is the home of your run
The home screen provides a clear and comprehensive overview of the user’s training plan both at a high level and within the current week.
It highlights key metrics such as total distance, along with the user’s progression throughout the program, while surfacing relevant content to guide them.
The goal is to clearly frame what lies ahead, helping users anticipate upcoming sessions.

Giving runners the tools to progress at their own pace
Training sessions and race preparation flows introduce distinct visual patterns to represent different types of workouts.
Screens are structured to reflect each session’s composition, including intensity levels across zones (pace or speed), allowing users to grasp the workout at a glance.
Key information is conveyed through clear data visualisation to enhance understanding. Additional elements, such as gut training (nutrition), are integrated as performance drivers.
Bringing together fresh content and dynamic analytics
The Learn section offers three content formats (articles, audio, and video) organized with tags to enhance discoverability and engagement.
We also designed a dedicated runner profile to highlight key statistics and make user progression tangible over weeks, months, and years enabling precise tracking of training volume across different timeframes.
The goal is to provide a clear and holistic view of performance and progress, beyond structured training plans. Dedicated sections allow users to explore their data in greater depth.
Adapting to every runner’s workout routine
We designed a Workout Export feature that allows users to send their weekly sessions directly to connected devices, such as Garmin watches.
It supports bulk actions, enabling multiple sessions to be exported at once streamlining the process and ensuring a seamless transition from planning to execution.
This allows runners to stay focused on their performance without facing any friction.

A world that elevates every athlete
Users can track and manage personal records (PRs) across multiple disciplines, including road and trail running, with the ability to manually add new entries.
The experience also integrates user preferences such as training mindset (performance-driven or more relaxed), targeted weekly volume, as well as nutrition and strength training.
All settings are designed to be configured first from an athlete perspective, then extended at the account level ensuring a personalized and flexible experience.
Supporting runners across their entire journey
Personalised tips and contextual guidance support runners at every stage from mental preparation to recovery after intense efforts.
We designed add-ons, resources and exercises with a nuanced approach to match each runner’s profile, from beginner to advanced.

Like a personal coach, it adapts to any style
We’ve built feedback directly into every workout, letting users share how each session feels.
With three simple options (too easy, just right, or too difficult) feedback is contextualized by session structure.
Follow-ups then refine the experience, taking into account personal context and external factors like weather, so future sessions automatically adjust in pace and intensity.
The interaction is designed to be quick and focused with just one action per session turning a previously complex process into a seamless experience.
Welcoming runners to reconnect and find their stride
Onboarding was redesigned around the user’s primary goal, minimizing questions while capturing essential context to deliver truly personalized training programs.
Whether preparing for a race, starting out, progressing, or returning from injury, the app collects key information (like running history, personal records, or test weeks) to recommend workouts that fit each user perfectly.
Visual highlights and emotional cues engage users, reinforce the brand, and make the experience memorable. A clear “promise screen” sets expectations to maximise paywall conversion.
