Campus Coach
Product Design & Visual Design
Empowering runners to reach their full potential. In partnership with Campus, we completely redesigned the app experience to enhance your training routine.
The new Campus Coach app is designed to truly adapt to each runner, simplifying training while making every step forward more visible, motivating, and personalized.
From the home screen to your profile, statistics to resources, session tracking to coaching, every aspect has been carefully crafted to guide runners throughout their journey.
Design: Mobile App
Branding optimism as the new standard
The brand identity work (colors, art direction for photos and videos, 3D assets), led internally by Sebastien Plisson, is built around energy and vibrancy, driven by a bold use of yellow and violet.
We then carefully designed every aspect of the app's look and feel.
Yellow takes the lead by conveying optimism, encouragement, and a sense of care. It moves away from a purely performance-driven tone, favoring guidance over pressure.
Motion also plays a key role in the user experience, from splash screens to loading screens, reinforcing a sense of flow and dynamism.

Campus is where your run begins
The home screen provides a clear and comprehensive overview of the user’s training plan, both at a high level and for the current week.
It highlights key metrics such as total distance, along with the user’s progress through the program, while displaying relevant content to guide them.
The goal is to clearly outline what lies ahead, helping users anticipate upcoming sessions.

Giving runners the tools to progress at their own pace
Training sessions and race preparation workflows use distinct visual patterns to represent different types of workouts.
The screens are designed to reflect the structure of each session, including intensity levels across zones (pace or speed), allowing users to understand the workout at a glance.
Key information is conveyed through clear data visualization to improve understanding. Additional elements, such as gut health (nutrition), are incorporated as performance drivers.
Bringing together fresh content and dynamic analytics
The Learn section offers three content formats (articles, audio, and video) organized using tags to improve discoverability and engagement.
We also designed a dedicated runner profile to highlight key statistics and make users' progress visible over weeks, months, and years, enabling precise tracking of training volume across different timeframes.
The goal is to provide a clear and comprehensive overview of performance and progress, going beyond structured training plans. Dedicated sections allow users to explore their data in greater depth.
Adapting to every runner’s workout routine
We designed a Workout Export feature that allows users to send their weekly workouts directly to connected devices, such as Garmin watches.
It supports bulk actions, allowing multiple sessions to be exported at once, which streamlines the process and ensures a seamless transition from planning to execution.
This allows runners to stay focused on their performance without encountering any obstacles.

A world that celebrates every athlete
Users can track and manage personal records (PRs) across multiple disciplines, including road and trail running, and manually add new entries.
The experience also takes into account user preferences such as training mindset (performance-driven or more relaxed), targeted weekly volume, as well as nutrition and strength training.
All settings are designed to be configured first from the athlete's perspective, then expanded at the account level to ensure a personalized and flexible experience.
Supporting runners every step of the way
Personalized tips and context-specific guidance support runners at every stage, from mental preparation to recovery after intense workouts.
We designed add-ons, resources, and exercises tailored to each runner’s skill level, from beginner to advanced.

Just like a personal coach, it adapts to any style
We’ve built feedback directly into every workout, allowing users to share how each session feels.
With three simple options (too easy, just right, or too difficult), feedback is tailored to the structure of each session.
Follow-ups then refine the experience, taking into account personal context and external factors such as the weather, so that future sessions automatically adjust in pace and intensity.
The interaction is designed to be quick and streamlined, with just one action per session, transforming what was once a complex process into a seamless experience.
Welcoming runners to reconnect and find their rhythm
Onboarding was redesigned with the user’s primary goal in mind, minimizing questions while gathering essential context to deliver truly personalized training programs.
Whether you're preparing for a race, just starting out, looking to improve, or returning from an injury, the app collects key information (such as your running history, personal records, or training weeks) to recommend workouts that are perfectly tailored to each user.
Visual highlights and emotional cues engage users, reinforce the brand, and make the experience memorable. A clear “promise screen” sets expectations to maximize paywall conversion.
