Clarifying the promise and aligning it with the experience.
We defined the product positioning and designed the right user experience. Outgoing is primarily designed for city lovers, helping them discover the best places and events in their area.
The map interface allows for instant exploration and easy navigation, while lists and cards immerse users in each scene without losing sight of the bigger picture. Finally, users can turn to the AI concierge for highly personalized recommendations.

Help people discover their "best."
A big part of the experience is helping users save recommendations and places they discover along the way.
Multiple iterations of the Save feature and lists introduced a new way to access and share a growing collection of unique finds.
We combined familiar navigation patterns with AI to make the experience feel seamless and intuitive.

Not just an app, but a planning companion
Outgoing’s platform allows users to interact directly with a virtual concierge via a chat-based interface.
In the “My Plans” experience, we’ve improved access to saved items using a smart yet simple timeline-based approach.
Keep the party going with trips that include multiple stops.
One key idea from the very beginning was to help people create more detailed plans to share with friends—enjoying not just the main event, but also the coffee beforehand or the dinner afterward.
We designed a system that lets users turn a single activity into a multi-step outing with just a few taps, featuring a clear, visual overview to get everyone excited. Additional social features like notes and voting can further enhance the experience over time.

Developing a dynamic brand that inspires city explorers.
Embrace every aspect of city life—from musical concerts to sporting events, cultural surprises to nature walks, lively nights out to kids’ art classes.
The brand we created embodies this diversity and energy, using warm colors to energize every step of the way, while maintaining a modern, cultural touch highlighted by Outgoing’s signature blue.

A symbol designed to open the door to new experiences.
Every day, people can choose to open the door to optimism and new discoveries. This is the idea behind the portal shape in the logo and key app elements.
We built on this concept and its strong visual impact to highlight the imagery, create a unique and inviting sense of movement, and gently encourage users to explore with curiosity.
